First Tricoloured National Flag consisting of Green, Yellow and Red, with eight Lotuses on the top, second strip carrying ""Vande Matara"" in Devnagri and the third strip having Sun and Cresent Moon, was hoisted at Green Park in Calcutta by Surendranath Banerjee.
